Launching September 2027, the TEF Creative Studio is a structured in-school practical skills programme designed to nurture creativity, craftsmanship, self-expression, and confidence among teenagers. Rooted in TEF’s Practical Skills pillar, the programme gives participants the opportunity to learn through making, experimentation, and hands-on project development.
The Studio operates across three consecutive academic terms, with each term comprising a 12-week learning cycle. The first two terms focus on Tie-Dye and Crocheting respectively, giving participants time to learn techniques, practise and develop finished pieces. The final term focuses on Design Exploration & Project Execution, where participants apply their acquired skills to explore original ideas and independently develop a creative project from concept to completion.
Beyond craft-making, TEF Creative Studio is designed to encourage teens to develop patience, creative confidence, problem-solving abilities, and attention to detail. The programme concludes with an Acknowledgement Ceremony and Craft Walkthrough, where participants showcase their work, reflect on their development, and celebrate their commitment.
